Objectives
The objectives of the Association are:
Section 1: To unite those engaged in the inventory
service profession throughout North America for the purpose of exerting a beneficial influence upon matters affecting the inventory service industry and related interests.
Section 2: To provide a
clearinghouse and medium for the benefit of owners of businesses involving the utilization and maintenance of product inventories and for those engaged in the inventory service industry.
Section 3: To promote
and advance the mutual interests of its members in maintaining the promoting of the inventory service industry generally.
Section 4: To consider and deal with common intra-industry problems of operations and
management, such as those involved in servicing of customer accounts, employment and fluctuating economic conditions affecting the inventory service industry as a whole.
Section 5: To promote principles of fairness and equity in the inventory service profession.
Section 6: To promote activities aimed at enabling the inventory service industry to conduct itself with the
greatest efficiency and economy.
Section 7: To promote free exchange between members and to give proper consideration and expression to questions affecting the inventory service industry as a whole.
Section 8: To acquire, assemble, preserve and disseminate valuable business information having an impact on the inventory service industry generally.
Section 9: To adopt, promote and maintain high standards
of conduct and operation for the inventory service industry and the Association’s members; and by lawful means to secure and maintain compliance therewith by its members and other persons, firms or corporations
engaged in the inventory service industry.
Section 10: To promote the use and distribution of the services of persons employed in the inventory service industry.
Section 11: To unite those engaged in
the inventory service industry in North America with similar associations and organizations located throughout the world, thereby, fostering the free exchange of information and furthering the objectives of the
inventory service industry on an international level.
Section 12: To designate for the benefit of the public, firms approved and authorized to use the term and logotype of “Member North American Association
of Inventory Services”.
